You Don’t Know Dick

I thought I knew dick, but I think that what I think about dick and then the broader concept of dick are two very different things. At least, that’s what I took away from the trailer for a documentary on dick (called Dickumentary). Now, I don’t know if I ever needed to know this much about dick.

Okay, at first I was more than a little intrigued. Not only was I curious about how many penises they could put in one picture, but I had no idea how the director would approach a subject as big, or small, as dick. Especially when dick has been the focus of too many jokes and a sign of male privilege. But if that’s all you think about when you think about dick, then you don’t know dick either.

Going on the preview alone, which I generally find is a good way to judge a film, there is a lot to see (and never unsee) about dicks. For instance, I don’t think I ever needed to see a pig dick unfold, but now I can’t stop watching that bit of the trailer over and over again.

There’s a lot or riDICKulousness in the film, but there’s also at least one to Grow On.
